Commercial & Industrial Rebate Program

NYSEG and RG&E offer rebates to non-residential customers who make energy efficiency improvements to their facilities and equipment. The rebates from this program—coupled with lower energy use—greatly reduce both the customer’s upfront costs and the payback timeline, which encourages project sign-off and implementation. This program is available to all non-residential electric and natural gas NYSEG and RG&E customers, including but not limited to, those within the commercial, industrial, institutional, municipal and agricultural categories.

Types of Available Rebates

We provide rebates on retrofits, add-ons, major renovation, and new construction projects within two broad categories: Prescriptive and Custom Rebates. Prescriptive Rebates are available on a range of common upgrades, while Custom Rebates are performance-based and require site-specific analysis and energy savings calculations. Trade Allies are an essential part in the rebate process for both types.

Trade Allies assist customers throughout the entire process, helping them select the most cost-effective energy efficiency measures and apply for eligible rebates. The Trade Ally Network allows us to provide Trade Allies with the training and technical support they need to become their customer’s trusted energy efficiency partner.
